The country of Namibia became a place of interest through watching a television remake of ‘The Prisoner’ back in 2009. Tim Hecker has an album titled ‘Harmony in Ultraviolet’, and I head straight to it when I need assistance reflecting. It only felt right to conclude with it on the flight back to Perth.
These medium format stills were taken exactly two years ago on my Mamiya 7, and are a variety of bulb-exposures with and without the use of outdoor flash.
Amongst the plethora of increasingly evolving digital avenues, this is just another set of scaled down landscapes, but all I want is to take others somewhere else, just for a few minutes.
